Dr. Stefanie Wettberg (BASF) joins Steering Committee

The Center for Research in Financial Communication welcomes Dr. Stefanie Wettberg, Senior Vice President Investor Relations at BASF SE, as a new member of its Steering Committee. Further members of the committee are Prof. Dr. Bernd Schuppener, Honorary Professor for Communication Management at the University of Leipzig, Martin Halusa, Head of Media Relations at Deutsche Börse AG, Dr. Phoebe Kebbel, Managing Partner at Hering Schuppener Consulting, and Dr. Robert Vollrath, Partner at Hering Schuppener Consulting. Dr. Stefanie Wettberg joined the Treasury department of BASF in Ludwigshafen, Germany, in 2003. From 2005 until 2009, she worked as executive staff to the CFO. From 2009 until 2011, she was Vice President Finance & Controlling at BASF Antwerpen N.V. in Belgium. From 2011 until 2016, she was Vice President Corporate Communications at BASF SE in Ludwigshafen. Since May 2016, she is Senior Vice President Investor Relations. Stefanie Wettberg studied economics at the University of Heidelberg, where she also worked as an academic assistant before receiving a doctorate in economics. With their in-depth expertise, the members of the Steering Committee support and advise the research team of the Center for Research in Financial Communication. The center focuses on national and international research and teaching projects in the field of financial communication and investor relations – ranging from basic research to applied research with pronounced practical relevance.
