With its paper “Establishing a dialogue between the supervisory board and investors: Empirical insights” the team of the Center for Research in Financial Communication was contributing to the 7th Conference of European Communication Research and Education Association (ECREA) which took place from October 31 to November 03, 2018 in Lugano. Public relations research is paying ever more attention to the communicator role of the CEO. Little attention, however, has been paid to the chairman of the board of directors – despite the critical role the chairman tends to play in issues of corporate governance and shareholder relations. The CRiFC team presented the results of a recent study on the dialogue of the Chairman of the Supervisory Board with investors. 51 investor relations officers from Prime Standard companies in Germany were surveyed.
