Prof. Olaf Streuer joins academic network of CRiFC

The Center for Research in Financial Communication welcomes Prof. Olaf Streuer as a new member of its academic network. Together with the academic partners from different research areas, knowledge building and exchange in the emerging research field of financial communication and investor relations will be supported. Prof. Dr. Olaf Streuer has been Professor of General Business Administration with a focus on finance and marketing at Hochschule Wismar since 2015. Previously, he held professorships for Accounting, Controlling and Finance at the SRH Hochschule Berlin and subsequently for General Business Administration / Corporate Management at the Fachhochschule Westküste. He also has many years of practical experience in the areas of investor relations, corporate communications, marketing and corporate development, for which he previously held management positions at various capital market-oriented companies. From 2003 to 2013, he was a member of the board of DIRK – Deutscher Investor Relations Verband and since 2002 has been a regular lecturer, study guide author and examiner in DIRK’s continuing education program for Certified Investor Relations Officers (CIRO). His research focuses on corporate finance and investor relations. Other members of the academic network are Prof. Dr. Katja Langenbucher (Goethe University Frankfurt am Main), Prof. Dr. Alexander V. Laskin (Quinnipiac University, USA), Prof. Dr. Peter Leibfried (University of St. Gallen), Prof. Dr. Dirk Schiereck (TU Darmstadt) and Prof. Dr. Henning Zülch (HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management). The activities of the Center for Research in Financial Communication focus on national and international research and teaching projects in the field of financial communications and investor relations – ranging from basic research to applied research with pronounced practical relevance.
