Publication of new study: “Sustainability in capital market communication”

Nachhaltigkeit in der Kapitalmarktkommunikation. Eine empirische Analyse der Nachhaltigkeitskommunikation deutscher börsennotierter Unternehmen an den Kapitalmarkt
In cooperation with DIRK – Deutscher Investor Relations Verband, the Center for Research in Financial Communication publishes its study “Sustainability in Capital Market Communication – An Empirical Analysis of the Sustainability Communication of German Listed Companies to the Capital Market” – a broad-based empirical study of listed companies in Germany. The research project in cooperation with Aurubis, Deutsche Lufthansa, Deutsche Post DHL and Zalando shows how – and also how differently – sustainability communication to the capital market is approached. Among other things, the challenges, responsibilities, processes, measures and instruments of capital market communication with regards to sustainability were analysed. In addition, three degrees of professionalization of sustainability communication to the capital market were derived from this and a state-of-the-art investor relations program for sustainability was described. The project team under the academic direction of Prof. Dr. Christian P. Hoffmann and Sandra Binder-Tietz consisted of seven students from the Leipzig Master’s programme in Communication Management: Melanie Bauer, Lena Biberacher, Helene Lamprecht, Elisa Strey, Lea Thomas, Mavimilian Van Poele and Lea Waskowiak.
