Today, the Center for Research in Financial Communication launched a large-scale quantitative survey within the comprehensive research project “Digital Leadership in Investor Relations”. The survey aims to identify the status quo of the German listed corporations as well as trends.
Extended cooperation with the Center for Corporate Reporting

Deutsche Börse AG becomes a new partner of the Center for Research in Financial Communication. Within the cooperation, Martin Halusa, Head of Media Relations at Deutsche Börse, joins the Steering Committee of the competence center.
Financial Communication Summit 2017
30 invited guests – including Head of Investor Relations and Corporate Communications as well as selected communication experts from business and science – discussed current research results and challenges as well as trends in capital market communications at the first Financial Communication Summit which took place on 13/14 September 2017.
New research publication: “Shielding or engaging: the use of online shareholder platforms in investor relations”
The renowned publication Corporate Communications: An International Journal has published a paper on the use of online shareholder platforms in investor relations by the Center for Research in Financial Communication. The purpose of this paper is to analyze antecedents of listed corporations’ propensity to adopt online shareholder platforms.
Workshop on “CFO Positioning in Financial Communication” at the DIRK Conference.
Based on a recent study conducted at the University of Leipzig, an empirically grounded job profile of the CFO in financial communication was presented during the workshop at the 20th DIRK Conference on June 13, 2017, in Frankfurt. A representative from the field of communication practice provided insights and the implications for investor relations were discussed with the participants.
Paper presentation of CRiFC at the 67th ICA conference in San Diego
With its paper “Investor Relations – A Systematic Literature Review” the team of the Center for Research in Financial Communication was contributing to the 67th annual conference of International Communication Association (ICA) which took place from May 25 – 29, 2017 in San Diego, USA.
International conference “The future of money”
On 30 June 2017, Prof. Christian Hoffmann and other experts will discuss the future of money at the international conference. Among other things, topics such as alternatives like “bitcoin” and “blockchain” by which startups and technology companies are revolutionizing the money and banking world.
